The Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport is currently taking a look at a plan to offer gambling on around 2,500 already installed iPads that passengers have been using to order drinks and other items, in addition to checking flight times and browsing the web.

The Associated Press reported that the plan could be voted on next month by the Metropolitan Airports Commission. The company behind the plan is OTG Management, which currently runs the iPad services.

The plan would call for selling lottery tickets, including scratch-offs, all of which are already for purchase at the airport, but just to a lesser extent than what is be proposed right now.

According to reporting from the Associated Press, about half of current lottery sales at the airport are made by people employed at the airport. In fact, it was reported that more state lottery tickets are sold at the airport than at any other location in the entire state of Minnesota.

In 2013, as part of a massive statewide expansion in gambling in order to fund construction of the new NFL stadium of the Minnesota Vikings, the airport saw its bars authorize electronic pull-tabs. Those haven’t been too successful, however, in terms of revenue.
